12/8/2023 0 Comments Ai war 2 vs 1![]() While basic, without the more vicious tactics of the other sub-process's, it does have a wider intelligence attempting to maneuver its incoming forces and reinforcements to best counter the player according to it's available information. it also receives a regular allotment of forces and disperses them to defend systems as it deems them necessary. if the player is attacking a nearby system, it may move forces if it thinks that will tip the balance. if the player is attacking the system, it will defend if it thinks it can win, or retreat if it thinks it will loose. ![]() it sits in the AI's systems and reacts to the players actions. A better explanation can be found on the wiki here. ![]() The AI is divided into multiple sub-processes that each function separately and receive separate allotments of the overall resource income to achieve their goal. The part i believe is important is how the AI manages itself and the war against the player. However, that's not the part i found important for stellaris. The game is all about walking a fine line of fighting the AI without giving it a good reason to just stomp you flat, which, make no mistake, it can do, at any point in the game. You take your meager forces and work as quietly as possible to undermine the AI and strengthen your fighting position without attracting the AI's attention. So, to explain for those who have no idea what this game is (it's a really good hardcore game by the way) it's a tactical strategy game that pits you and the tiny remnants of human civilization against the massive AI empire that crushed the old human empire, and now not only controls the galaxy, but is focused on fighting a war in a second one.
